This Cookie Policy explains how PR Portal ("PR Portal", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies when you visit https://prportal.io (the "Website") or use our services (the "Platform").
We operate a consent-based model. Non-essential cookies and trackers are blocked until you provide consent through our cookie consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time through the "Cookie Preferences" link in our footer.
1. What We Actually Deploy
Current state (as of August 2026).
PR Portal currently deploys no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics cookies. We use only essential local storage items required for the Platform to function. This is a better factual position than over-describing cookies we do not use.
The moment we add any non-essential tracker (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag), it will be governed by the consent mechanism described in this Policy and will not fire until you opt in.
2. Technologies We Use
Essential Local Storage
The following local storage items are essential for the Platform to function. They are set automatically and cannot be disabled:

No HTTP cookies (document.cookie) are set by PR Portal. All storage uses the localStorage Web API.
3. Cookie Categories
Essential (Always On)
These are strictly necessary for the Website to function. They include authentication, security, session management, and consent storage. You cannot disable these.
Analytics (Opt-in)
These help us understand how visitors interact with the Website — pages visited, time spent, traffic sources. We do not currently deploy any analytics cookies. If we add them in the future, they will be blocked until you consent through the cookie banner.
Marketing and Advertising (Opt-in)
These would be used to deliver relevant advertising and track campaign effectiveness. We do not currently deploy any marketing or advertising cookies. If we add them, they will be blocked until you consent.
4. Consent Model
How consent works.
Our consent mechanism uses a geo-conditional approach:
- EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada: Opt-in model. Non-essential cookies are blocked until you actively consent. "Reject all" is as prominent as "Accept all" — no dark patterns.
- United States and other regions: Notice and opt-out model. Non-essential cookies may be set on a notice basis, but you can opt out at any time.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a do-not-sell/share request and block all non-essential cookies, regardless of your region.
Consent is stored for 12 months, after which you will be asked again. You can withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.
5. Prior Blocking
Tags do not fire until consent.
Our consent mechanism blocks non-essential tracking tags from loading until you provide consent. This means:
- Analytics scripts (e.g., Google Analytics) will not load until you accept analytics cookies
- Marketing tags (e.g., Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag) will not load until you accept marketing cookies
- Essential cookies and local storage items are not affected
This prior-blocking approach ensures compliance with GDPR Article 7, UK PECR Regulation 6, and the FTC's principles against deceptively formatted tracking.
6. Tag Governance
No tracker ships without a consent category.
PR Portal maintains a documented tag-governance step in our release process. Before any new tracking tag, pixel, or analytics script is deployed:
- It must be assigned a consent category (essential, analytics, or marketing)
- It must be registered in this Cookie Policy's per-cookie table
- It must be gated by the consent mechanism (non-essential tags check
window.__cookieConsent.hasConsent(category)before firing) - It must be reviewed for compliance with GDPR, UK PECR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, and LGPD
This prevents a new tracker from shipping without a consent category and ensures the Cookie Policy always describes what we actually deploy.
7. Managing Your Preferences
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time:
- Click "Cookie Preferences" in the footer of any page
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and local storage
- Enable your browser's "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal
Please note that disabling essential local storage items may affect the functionality of certain parts of the Platform.
8. Third-Party Services
Some third-party services integrated into the Platform may set their own cookies or local storage:
- Payment processors (Stripe) — essential for checkout
- Chat and support widgets — essential for customer service
These third parties maintain their own privacy and cookie policies. PR Portal does not control how these third parties use cookies, but requires them to comply with applicable consent laws.

PR Portal may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we deploy or applicable law.
Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. If we add new non-essential cookies, we will re-prompt for consent.
